Phuket's 45-metre marble Buddha on Nakkerd Hill — the island's most prominent landmark, with a 360° view across Chalong Bay.
The Big Buddha sits on top of Nakkerd Hill between Chalong and Kata. The statue itself is 45 metres tall and clad in Burmese white marble; construction began in 2004 and continues with donations from visitors.
The view is the real reason to come — on a clear day you can see Chalong Bay, Phromthep Cape and Kata in one sweep.
